I have been exhibiting professionally since Forum 76 at the Montreal Museum of Art. I have been painting since I was eight. I have a survey show of work from 1985 to the present coming up at 13Th Street Gallery. Due to Covid-19, the exact date has not been set but it should be in 2022.
Since moving to NOTL in 2015, I have been working in painting, collage, sculpture and photography. The thinking behind all of these mediums is the same. Balance, beauty, desire, humour and character grace the work. I use “upcycled” found pieces and use them with my own created pieces. It is important that the found pieces do not show their previous use and that they play nicely with the other elements.
My gallery (previously a cow barn, that I renovated) is open from May 1st to Dec 15th. You are welcome to visit anytime, but please call first to be sure that I am home, or you can come to the red brick farmhouse next to the gallery. I have a welding studio, painting studio and woodshop on the property. There are sculptures and beautiful gardens on almost an acre of grounds.
