Originally from Toronto, Nancy is an acrylic painter in Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON. Throughout her life, she has always been creative and interested in art. Her mother was an oil painter and remembers with great clarity watching her mother painting magical brushstrokes. Those moments stayed with Nancy but a busy career and raising a family prevented her from exploring art for herself.
Once retired, she felt a deep urge to start taking art classes. A spark was struck when she began painting using acrylics taking workshops in both Canada and the U.S. from highly acclaimed and talented artists whose expertise has helped her find her current path. After a few years and countless hours at her easel, her paintings capture the beauty around her and can be found hanging in private collections across Canada and the U.S. It gives her great pleasure to see her paintings come to life using bright, vibrant colours in a loose impressionistic style.
When not painting, she can be found with her husband sailing and travelling; drawing inspiration from historic architecture, landscapes and people they meet.
