The show was inspired by the dichotomy of urban and natural landscapes and the many contrasts in life. The paintings of fading and hardy flowers are subtle layers of emotional expression, of fragility and strength.

The solo exhibit runs from May 2 to 28 in the Joyner Gallery of Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre. An opening reception for the show will take place on Sunday, May 7th, from 2:00–4:00 pm, offering the public a chance to meet Petra Zantingh in person. Remarks are at approximately 2:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
